Ronda E. Thomas, 59, of Winfield, Kansas, passed away early Wednesday morning, December 20, 2023, at Winfield Rest Haven.

Born April 6, 1964, in Wellington, Kansas, she was the daughter of Leland O. King, Jr. and Myrna L. (Crum) King.  She was raised and received her education in Winfield, and later attended Culinary school.  Ronda married Gene Thomas in 1995 in Winfield.  The couple moved to Tennessee for a time.  They had two children and later divorced.

Ronda did some factory work in Kentucky, but made her lifelong career as a restaurant manager.  In addition to Kentucky and Tennessee, she lived in Oxford, Wichita, and finally back home to Winfield.

She was a member of the Baptist Church.  She enjoyed crocheting and watching t.v., especially Law & Order and horror shows.  She especially loved spending time with her family.

Her family includes her daughters, Raven Shaw of Winfield; Allyssa Thomas of Wichita; her brothers, Chuck M.G. Shaw of Newkirk, OK; Bobby Logan of Andover; her sisters, Samantha D. Overbey of Dexter; Racheal M. Leonard of Washington; Connie King of Winfield; Kim King-Love of Winfield; Angela King-Davis of Winfield; her granddaughter BrokLynn Billiter-Shaw of Winfield; her cousins, Bo Crum and wife, Wendy of Winfield; Matthew Crum and wife, Hilary of Winfield; and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Ronda was preceded in death by a sister April J. Berry.

Memorial services will be held at 2:00 P.M., December 29, 2023, at Miles Funeral Service.  Private family burial will take place at a later date.

A memorial has been established for Ronda's only grandchild, BrokLynn Billiter-Shaw.  Contributions may be made through the funeral home.
