Ronald Gene Mawdsley, 66, of Pratt, KS, passed away Sunday morning, June 8, 2008, at the Pratt Regional Medical Center.
Born on July 22, 1941 in Winfield, Kansas, he was the son of Hugh Burton and Luella May (Reeve) Mawdsley. He was raised and received his education in Winfield, graduating from Winfield High School. Following graduation Ronald went on to attend Pittsburgh State University where he received his associate degree in auto mechanics.
Ronald proudly served his country in the United States Air force, being stationed in the Philippines. After his honorable discharge he remained very active in the American Legion, the Veterans of Foreign War, and the American Veterans.
He was employed as a dish washer at Western Sizzlin Steak House until its closing, he then moved to Fort Dodge.
He was a member of the Grace United Methodist Church.

His nephew: Peter Blomgren and wife Crystal, of Joplin, Missouri; and
His niece: Sharon Easterling and husband Robert, of Topeka, Kansas;
In addition to his parents, Ronald was preceded in death by his brothers, Donald Lee and Elbert Lewis Mawdsley.
Graveside committal honors will be held on Thursday, June 12, 2008, at 11:00 A.M. at the Highland Cemetery. Friends may sign a register book at Miles Funeral Service on Wednesday June 11.
