Obituary

Ronald G. "R.G." Frazier, 70, of Winfield, Kansas, passed away Sunday afternoon, August 22, 2010 at his home.

Born October 14, 1939 in Hill City, Kansas, he was the son of Graydon F. and Florence R. (Mauck) Frazier. He was raised and received his education in Hill City. After school R.G. proudly served his country in the United States Air Force where he was stationed at McConnell Air Force Base in Wichita. He was honorably discharged in October of 1960.

On September 5, 1959 R.G. was united in marriage to Peggy Lee Randall in Winfield, Kansas. The couple made their first home in Winfield where R.G. worked for Beech Air Craft and then later at Boeing. In 1965 the family moved to Tulsa, Oklahoma where he worked for McDonnell Douglass Air Craft. In 1970 the family moved to a farm near Prue, Oklahoma. He remained at McDonnell Douglass where he worked many different jobs and retired as the Plant Superintendent in 1994. After retirement R.G. and Peggy traveled the United States in a motor home, wintering in Quartsite, Arizona. In 2007 the couple returned to Winfield to be near family.

He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Prue, where he was led to the Lord by Brother Sam. He more recreantly attended Crossroads Community Church in Winfield. He was also a member of the Masonic Lodge, the Lions Club, and the Prue Volunteer Fire Department. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, boating, skiing, woodworking, working on cars and going to casinos. He especially enjoyed spending time with family and friends, and it was often said of him "He never met a stranger".

His family includes:

His daughters: Carolyn Roberts and husband, Kent of Winfield; Tammy Ledford and husband, Ron of Skiatook, OK; Debbie Voorhis and husband, Ed of Mount Vernon, MO; Julie Yarbrough and husband, Steve of Enid, OK;
His sister: Connie Wilson and husband, Jerry of Reno, NV;
His brother: George Frazier of Salina, KS;
His 10 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren; and
Many nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents R.G. was preceded in death by his son Michael Owens, his two brothers Darrell and Robert Frazier, and his sister Joan Adams.

Memorial services will be held on Wednesday afternoon, August 25, 2010 at 2:00 P.M. at Crossroads Community Church in Winfield. A private family inurnment will take place at a later date.

A memorial has been established in R.G.'s name for the American Cancer Society. Contributions may be made through Miles Funeral Service.
