Roland Terrones, 75, of Winfield, Kansas, passed away Monday, April 4, 2022, at his home.

Born April 4, 1947, in Benedict, Kansas, he was the son of Antonio and Flora (Hernandez) Terrones. His mother passed away when he was a child and he was raised by his grandparents and other family members.

Roland lived in Parsons and Osawatomie before moving to Winfield in 1997 to live at Mosaic. He was baptized a member of the Catholic Church in his youth. He enjoyed drinking coffee, eating, watching cowboy movies and baseball games, and loved being outside. He also enjoyed being with friends, especially his best friend, Clifford.

His family includes his sister Mary Galvan of Chicago, IL; his brother Tony Terrones of Santa Fe, TX; many nieces, nephews, and cousins; and his friends and caregivers at Mosaic in Winfield.

The Rosary will be prayed at 10:00 A.M., Thursday, April 7, 2022, at Holy Name Catholic Church, followed by the Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will follow at St. Mary's Cemetery in Newton, Kansas. Services are under the direction of Miles Funeral Service.

Memorials have been established in Roland's name for Holy Name Catholic Church and for Mosaic. Contributions may be made through the funeral home.
