ROGER C. MOODY, 51, of Winfield, passed away Saturday afternoon, May 24, 2008 at William Newton Hospital.
Born on December 29, 1956, in Winfield, Kansas, he was the son of E.C. and Gertrude (Mahurin) Moody. He was raised and educated in Winfield.
On March 25, 1977, Roger was united in marriage to Wannetta Dunlap in Beggs, Oklahoma. The couple made their first home in Drumright, Oklahoma and moved back to the Winfield area in 1986.
He had a motor route with the Winfield Daily Courier and also ran his own lawn care business. Roger was a custodian for the State Hospital as well.
His hobbies included computers, fair events and speed races. Roger enjoyed the outdoors, going camping and going to the lake. He especially loved his grandchildren and spending time with his family.

His son: Roger Clay Moody, Jr. and wife, Tiffany of Winfield;
His daughters: Miranda Moody and boyfriend, Billy Israel; and Ashley Moody all of Winfield;
His sister: Belinda Bonstein of Wichita; and
His grandchildren: Kevin Clay, Kayla, Destiny, Hannah, Marissa, Adreanna, Faith and Gabriel.
In addition to his parents, Roger was preceded in death by a brother, Curtis Lee and a sister, Brenda.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, May 31, 2008, at 10:00 A.M. at the Central Baptist Church with Reverend Blake Orr officiating. Interment will follow at Highland Cemetery. A Memorial has been established in Mr. Moody's name for the American Heart Association. Contributions may be made through the funeral home.
