ROBERTA A. VANCE, 71, of Udall, Kansas, passed away Saturday, October 26, 2013 at Galicia Heart Hospital in Wichita.
Born February 16, 1942 in Tucson, Arizona, she was the daughter of Robert P. and Augusta Hanson. She was raised and received her education in Tucson, graduating from Amfly High School. She later attended college and graduated with a Bachelor's Degree.
Roberta was united in marriage to Willard E. Vance on November 9, 1972 in Mexico. They were remarried two years later in the United States on November 27, 1974. Mrs. Vance worked at a college and at the Udall School in Food Service. Recently, she had become the head baker. She also worked as a commercial artist for a short time. She enjoyed cartooning, though she never sold any.
She was a member of the FourSquare Church in Udall. She enjoyed making jewelry and when she was younger, collecting many things, including rocks and shells.

Her daughters: Lina Vance of Tucson, AZ; Ingrid K. Vance, Ireyna A. Compion and Svenda A . Vance all of Udall; Vicki Vance of Oklahoma City; and Kristy Vance of Wichita;
Her brother: Robert Kilpatrick of Tucson, AZ;
Her sister: Joann Kilpatrick of Tucson, AZ; and
Her grandchildren: Sophia and Eric Compion.
The family will hold a memorial service on Monday, November 11 at 7:00 P.M. at the Udall First FourSquare Church in Udall. Miles Funeral Service was in charge of the cremation arrangements.
A Memorial has been established in Roberta's name for FourSquare Church. Contributions may be made through the funeral home.
