Robert W. "Bob" Hull, 77, of Winfield, Kansas, passed away Monday morning, November 15, 2021, at William Newton Hospital.

Born February 26, 1944, on the kitchen table of the family farm in Grenola, Kansas, he was the son of Roy and Lucille (Cook) Hull.  He was raised and received his education in Grenola, graduating from Grenola High School in 1962.  Following high school, Bob moved to Winfield where he joined the United States National Guard.

He was united in marriage to Marilyn Kay Bland on November 18, 1964, in Fort Jackson, South Carolina.  The couple made their home in Winfield.  In 1968, Bob's National Guard unit was activated, and he served his country in the Vietnam War. After his honorable discharge, he returned to Winfield and began working at Beech Aircraft in Wichita.  He later worked for a short time at KDOT before starting his career with the City of Winfield.  Bob worked in the Power Plant for the city for over 40 years until his retirement.  He enjoyed going to the lake, boating, watching wildlife from his garage, woodworking, and deer hunting.

His family includes his wife Marilyn Hull of Winfield; his children, Teresa Hull of Henderson, NV; Dena Irvin and husband, Mark of Winfield; Justin Hull and wife, Jennifer of Oxford; his brother Michael Hull of Winfield; his sister Barbara Simpson and husband, Max of Wichita; his grandchildren, Robert Hull, Candace Gorton and husband, Michael, Seth Hull, Alyssa Davis and husband, Tyler, Colin Pedersen, Brayden Irvin, Heather Benson, Amber Hull, Braydon Hull; and his 12 great grandchildren with two on the way.

In addition to his parents, Bob was preceded in death by a brother William "Bill" Hull, and an infant sister Rita Faye Hull.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M., Friday, November 19, 2021, at Miles Funeral Service in Winfield.  Interment will follow at Highland Cemetery.

A memorial has been established in Bob's name for the American Legion Post #10.  Contributions may be made through the funeral home.
