ROBERT M. JAMISON, 85, of Winfield, Kansas, passed away Monday evening, June 1, 2009 at Good Samaritan Village in Winfield.

Born on July 12, 1923 in Coffeyville, Kansas, he was the son of Harry R. and Delphia Ann (Snow) Jamison. He was raised and received his education in Coffeyville. As a young man, he was employed at a grocery store and later Continental Can, both in Coffeyville.

Robert moved to Winfield in 1955 and began employment for Cessna Aircraft in 1956 where he was a sheetmetal assembler. He retired in 1985 following nearly 30 years of service. Robert enjoyed bowling as a hobby.

His sons: Robert Mark Jamison and Chris Randall Jamison both of Neodesha, KS;
His step-son: David Mark Linek of Newkirk, OK;
His sister: Betty Byrun of California;
His 7 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Billy, Harry and George; and his sister, Esther Gilbert.

Graveside funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M., Friday, June 5, 2009 at the Elmwood Cemetery in Coffeyville, Kansas. Friends may call at Miles Funeral Service from 1:00 to 5:00 P.M., Thursday, June 4, 2009.

A memorial has been established in Robert's name for the Good Samaritan Village. Contributions may be made through the funeral home.
