Robert James Elam, 8 months, of Winfield, Kansas, passed away Sunday, October 17, 2010 at William Newton Hospital.

Born February 2, 2010 in Winfield, Kansas he was the son of Kevin and April (Lanham) Elam. The family has spent much of the last 8 months in Denver, Colorado where Robert was being treated at The Children's Hospital.

His family includes:
His parents: Kevin and April Elam of the home;
His sister: Kylie Smith;
His brother: Kevin Elam II;
His maternal grandparents: Jay and Tina Ricke of Winfield; and
His paternal grandparents: Robert and Fern Flynt of South Elgin, OK.

Robert was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather Gary Elam, his maternal grandfather Terry Beeson and his maternal grandmother Jayree Ricke.

Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, October 21, 2010 at 1:00 P.M. at Miles Funeral Service in Winfield. Interment will follow at the Peru Cemetery in Peru, Kansas. Friends may call at Miles Funeral Service on Wednesday evening from 4 to 8. The family will greet visitors that evening.

A Memorial has been established in Robert's name for the Children's Hospital in Denver, Colorado. Contributions may be made through the funeral home.
