ROBERT D. ALEXANDER, 67, of Mulvane, Kansas, passed away Thursday morning, June 26, 2008 at St. Joseph Medical Center in Wichita, Kansas.

Born on June 4, 1941 in Protection, Kansas, he was the son of Wilson and Easter (Ewing) Alexander. He was raised and received his education in Protection. Robert farmed as a young man and helped take care of the family. He had lived in the Wichita and Udall areas before moving to Mulvane. Robert had been employed at Cessna Aircraft, RA & Rude Sons Concrete and was currently employed at Fleet Maintenance in the parts department.

Robert loved spending time with his family, the outdoors, cookouts and working on cars with his sons.

His sons: Britt Myers of Colorado; Ty Alexander of Park City, KS; Taylor Alexander of Mulvane, KS; and TyTy Alexander of Mulvane, KS;
His step-sons: Michael Beougher of Wichita, KS; Kevin Beougher of Mulvane, KS; and Jeff Beougher of Mulvane, KS;
His daughers: Vicki Trussell of Rose Hill, KS; Melinda Chandler of Wichita, KS; and Tiffany Alexander of Oklahoma;
His brother: Joe Alexander of Wichita, KS;
His sister: Juanita Randall of Haysville, KS; and
Numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Doyle Alexander; and his sisters, Ruth Davis and Margaret McCloud.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 A.M., Tuesday, July 1, 2008 at the Udall Nazarene Church in Udall, Kansas. Interment will follow at the Mulvane Cemetery. A viewing will be held at Miles Funeral Service from 5:00 to 9:00 P.M., Monday, June 30, 2008.

An educational fund for Robert's family has been set up at the Fidelity Bank in Derby. Contributions may be made through the funeral home.
