Obituary

Richard "Dick" Case, 78, of Wichita, Kansas, formerly of Winfield, passed away Tuesday, February 4, 2020 at Wesley Medical Center.

Born November 28, 1941 in Winfield, he was the son of William and Vera Alma (Wood) Case. He was raised and received his education in Winfield, graduating from Winfield High School in 1959. He worked his first job as a paperboy for the Winfield Courier. Following high school he worked at the Winfield Flour Mill before attending Pittsburg State University where he received his certificate in Heating and Air Conditioning.

Richard was united in marriage to Carol Stecher on April 5, 1969 at the First Baptist Church in Winfield. The couple made their home in Wichita and Richard began his career as a service mechanic for Fahnestock Heating and Air. He later worked for Condition Air before going to work for Commercial Mechanical where he remained until retiring in 1999.

He was a member of First Baptist Church in Winfield, as well as the Fraternal Order of Eagles #3251. He enjoyed fishing and hunting.

His family includes his wife Carol of Wichita; his son Richard Blaine Case of Wichita; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents Richard was preceded in death by a brother William F. Case and a sister Norma Cislo.

Graveside funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M., Wednesday, February 12, 2020 at Union Graham Cemetery in Winfield. Miles Funeral Service is in charge of arrangements.

In lieu of flowers the family suggest memorials to the Chisholm Trail Fraternal Order of Eagles #3251. Contributions may be made through the funeral home.
