Rex L. Brown's Obituary
Rex L. Brown, 58, of Arkansas City, passed away Tuesday afternoon, August 8, 2017 at South Central Kansas Regional Medical Center in Arkansas City.
Rex was born April 24, 1959 in Wichita, the son of Clarence and Jacqualine (Lambert) Brown. Rex moved to the Winfield State Hospital in 1961 and later moved to CCL in 1997. He enjoyed listening to music and loved his toys.
Survivors include:
His good friend, Laura Bumgarner of Arkansas City; His guardian, Chad Mayberry of Winfield; all of His friends and caretakers at Easter Seals Capper Foundation; and His sister, Myra Brisco of Harrison, AR
Rex was preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Friday, August 11, 2017 at Miles Funeral Service. Visitation will be from 4:00-5:00 p.m. Thursday. Private interment will take place at Weakley Cemetery in New Albany, Kansas.
A memorial has been established in Rex's name for Easter Seals Capper Foundation. Contributions may be made through the funeral home.
