With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Reta Maxine Pipher, born August 26th, 1939 who peacefully passed away at her home on June 29th, 2026 surrounded by the people she loved most. She spent her final moments overlooking the beautiful property that brought her so much joy and comfort throughout her life.

She found joy in life’s simple wonders. Hummingbirds brought a smile to her face, horses inspired her spirit, and dogs were treasured companions who filled her heart with unconditional love. She had a remarkable gift for capturing the beauty of nature, weaving, and animals through her artwork, creating drawings that reflected both her talent and her deep appreciation for God’s creation.

She dedicated her career to teaching special education, where she made a difference in the lives of countless children. Her patience, kindness, and unwavering belief in every child’s potential touched students and families alike. She taught with compassion, celebrated every achievement, and gave her heart freely to those who needed it most.

She loved her Louisiana family. She cherished every visit, every conversation, and every memory shared with those she loved. Her warmth, gentle spirit, and caring heart created a bond that will continue to live on through her family and friends.

She leaves behind a legacy of kindness, creativity, devotion, and love. Though she is no longer with us, she will forever be remembered in the flutter of hummingbird wings, the quiet beauty of the countryside, the loyalty of two faithful dogs, and the strength and grace of horses running freely.

She will be deeply missed, lovingly remembered, and forever carried in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
