Raymond Earl Pitts' Obituary
Raymond Earl Pitts, 91, of Winfield, Kansas, passed away early Wednesday, November 4, 2015 at the Kansas Veterans Home.
Born January 2, 1924 in Agricola, Kansas, he was the son of Wilber Charles Pitts and Clara Louise (Jungck) Pitts. He attended Kansas State Teachers College and the University of Kansas.
Mr. Pitts was stationed on the USS Wichita in the United States Navy during World War II. He received an honorable discharge.
Surviving family includes:
His son: David Ray Pitts of Kansas City; and
His niece: Sydney (Pitts) Riddle of Williamsburg, VA; and
Other nieces and nephews in the Midwest.
In addition to his parents, Raymond was preceded in death by his siblings: William Clifford Pitts, Vernon Eugene Pitts, Robert Wayne Pitts and Mary Ann (Pitts) Duvall.
Private memorial services will be held at the Kansas Veterans Cemetery at a later date. Miles Funeral Service is in charge of arrangements.
A memorial has been established in Raymond's name for the Kansas Veterans Home. Contributions may be made through the funeral home.
