Raymond H. Chattam's Obituary
Raymond Howard Chattam, 90, of Burden, Kansas, passed away early Thursday morning, April 7, 2016 at his home.
Born January 25, 1926 in Winfield, Kansas he was the son of Fred R. and Hazel L. (Miller) Chattam. He was raised and received his education in Winfield graduating from Winfield High School in 1944.
Raymond was united in marriage to Lois Groom in 1950 and to this union five children were born. The couple later divorced. Ray worked as an Aircraft Inspector at GE for 14 years. He then went to work in the oil fields.
His family includes:
His daughters: Brenda Randall and Kim Chattam of Winfield;
His son: Jeff Chattam of Burden;
His numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, Raymond was preceded in death by two sons, Roger Lee "George" and James Howard "Jim" Chattam, his brother, Bobbie Eugene Chattam, and his great granddaughters, Trinity Faith and Brylee Shianne.
Private family services will be held at Tisdale Cemetery. Miles Funeral Service is in charge of arrangements. Flowers and memorial contributions may be sent to the funeral home.
