Rachel Leigh Taylor Brady, 34, of Wichita, Kansas, passed away Monday evening, October 5, 2020 at her home.

Born July 2, 1986 in Winfield, Kansas, she was the daughter of Sam and Marie (Capps) Taylor. She was raised and received her early education in Winfield, before moving with her family to Derby. Rachel graduated from Derby High School in 2004.

She married Justin Brady on December 20, 2008 at the Mulvane Christian Church in Mulvane, Kansas. The couple made their home in Haysville where their two children were born. The couple later divorced.

Rachel attended Butler County Community College and received her degree as a Registered Nurse. While going through nursing school, Rachel worked as a dog groomer with her mom at their grooming salon, The Purdy Pet.  She began her career in the medical field with Catholic Care Center in Wichita, and later returned to school at Wichita State University, earning a Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing. She was currently working at Legacy at College Hill. She enjoyed reading, watching movies, sleeping, riding motorcycles, and working on crafts. Her favorite food was butterbeans. Most of all Rachel enjoyed spending time with her children, fishing, hiking, and playing Mind Craft.

Her family includes her parents, Sam and Marie Taylor of Belle Plaine; her children, Olivia Grace and Cole Steven Brady, both of Wichita; her siblings, Misty Taylor and husband, Seth Harland of Derby; Samantha Escoto and husband, Jaime of Haysville; Aaron Taylor of Belle Plaine; Jessica Taylor and fiancé, Taylor Owens of Wichita; many nieces and nephews; and Raz the cat.

Rachel was preceded in death by all her grandparents.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M., Saturday, October 10, 2020 at Haysville Christian Church in Haysville, Kansas. Interment will follow at Oxford Cemetery. A visitation will be held at Miles Funeral Service in Winfield, Kansas, on Friday evening, October 9, 2020 from 4 to 8. The family will greet visitors during this time.
