Obituary

Phillip Rae Beach, 62, of Winfield, Kansas, passed away, Saturday April 16, 2022 at his home.

Born August 26, 1959 in Arkansas City, Kansas, he was the son of Gerald and Dolores (Dopita) Beach. He was raised and received his education in Winfield. After school Phillip went to work for Powers Roofing, roofing grain elevators in Oklahoma. He spent summers working with his father on the family farm.

Phillip married Terri Sharp on November 3, 1979. The couple made their home in Winfield. To this union four children were born. The couple later divorced. Phillip began working in maintenance for Gott in 1979, and a few years later he moved to the machine shop. He remained at Gott until 1990 when he took a position as supervisor of the machine shop for KSQ Blow Molding. He later became an interdepartmental manager and in 1999 left KSQ to work in New Product Development at Winfield Consumer Products, where he remained until his retirement in 2008. Phillip enjoyed hunting, fishing, and camping.

His family includes his four children, Brandy Beach of Wichita; Amber Flowers and husband, Brian of Clinton, MS; Travis Beach of Derby; Chad Beach of Derby; his brothers, Dennis Beach and wife, Cindy of Winfield; David Beach of Winfield; his sisters, Gayle Rollins of Winfield; Tricia Johnson of Winfield; and his grandchildren, Taj, Aonika, Kamrie, Abigail, Emily, Ilyssa, Anabel, Adrick, Jack, Atlas, Coen, and Noah.

In addition to his parents, Phillip was preceded in death by three brothers, Roger Beach, Richard Beach, and Glenn Beach.

A visitation is scheduled for Thursday evening April 21, 2022 from 4 P.M. to 7 P.M. at Miles Funeral Service in Winfield. The family will greet visitors at that time.

A memorial has been established in Phillip's name for the Cowley County Humane Society. Contributions may be made through the funeral home.
