Petra "Pat" Coon, 74 of Temple, Texas passed away Wednesday, March 26, 2015 at her home.

She was born April 29, 1940 in Winfield, Kansas to Tomas and Maria Mendoza Llamas. Petra graduated from Winfield High School in Kansas. She was swept off her feet and married the love of her life, Kenneth Coon, on September 20, 1958. She worked for the Winfield State Hospital and Training Center. The family moved to Temple in 1970, where Petra worked for Gidden Distributing for 30 years. Her greatest loves were God, her family, and the Dallas Cowboys and she enjoyed the Temple High School Theater productions. Petra was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Coon was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Coon; a brother, Julian Llamas; and sisters, Nicholasa Guerro, Beatrice Perez, and Herlinda Green.

She is survived by her sons, Chad Coon and wife SueMarie and Christian Coon and wife Chastity; daughters Cathi Coon Green and Candi Hitt and husband Joe; sister Jessie Clark; thirteen grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, April 10, 2015 at Holy Name Catholic Church at 10:30 A.M. Interment will follow at St. Mary's Cemetery. The Rosary will be recited on Thursday evening, April 9, 2015 at 7:00 P.M. at the church.
