Perry Earl "Mick" Bryant, 82, formerly of Cedar Vale, Kansas, passed away Thursday evening, February 28, 2013, at the Kansas Veterans' Home in Winfield.

Born August 9, 1930, in Wichita, Kansas, he was the son of Jack and Ruby Bryant. He was raised and received his education in the Wichita and Cedar Vale areas. After school Earl joined the United States Army where he proudly served his country. After his honorable discharge he moved to Waunetta, Kansas near his sister.

Earl later attended trade school in Wichita, for heating and air conditioning. He lived most of his life in the Cedar Vale area where he worked as a sheet metal fabricator in the heating and air conditioning business. He was known as one of the best sheet metal workers in the state of Kansas. After retiring Earl moved to El Dorado to be near family.

He enjoyed hanging out with his family, watching the Denver Broncos football games, watching John Wayne movies, going to rodeos, and meeting friends every morning for coffee.

His family includes:
His daughter: Kelli Heimgartner and husband, James of El Dorado;
His son: Keith Bryant and wife, Billie Jo of Cedar Vale; Jeff Drake of Colorado;
His 6 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren, and several of nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents Earl was preceded in death by his brother, Harry, and his two sisters, Evelyn and Jo.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, March 4, 2013, at 10:00 A.M. at the Miles Funeral Service in Winfield. Interment will follow at Round Mound Cemetery East of Cedar Vale.

Memorials have been established in Earl's name for the Kansas Veterans' Home in Winfield and for the Alzheimer Association. Contributions may be made through the funeral home.
