Obituary

Pauline L. Weaver, 95, of Winfield, Kansas, passed away Saturday afternoon, November 6, 2021, at Winfield Senior Living Community.

Born March 12, 1926, in Compton, California, she was the daughter of William Henry and Rosetta Mahala (Lower) Quier. She was raised and received her education in Compton. As a young woman, Pauline worked at BF Goodrich.

Pauline was united in marriage to Billy P. Weaver on August 30, 1947, at the Dexter Baptist Church. The couple made their first home in Dexter. Pauline worked as a baker at Hatterberg Bakery and later at William Newton Hospital as an aide. Mr. Weaver preceded her in death on July 20, 2018.

She enjoyed crocheting, quilting, and crafty things. She especially enjoyed traveling.

Her family includes her daughters, Dianna DeShazo and husband, Mike of Winfield; Bernice Dudeck and husband, Rod of Winfield; Debra Martin and husband, Mark of Dexter; and Kim Bair and husband, Roger of Burden; her grandchildren, Amy (Jeff), Rod (Jennifer), Andrea (CJ), Abby (Jon), Ashley (Lance), Tara (Bret), Tami (Brenton), and Riley; and her great grandchildren, Brittany, Keaton, Kalie, Samantha, Emily, Evan, Ethan, Aidan, Anabel, Charlee, Piper, Preston, Neva, and Raylan.

In addition to her parents and husband, Pauline was preceded in death by brothers, Ernie, John, and Bill Quier, and sisters, Edith Barkalow, Mabel Whitely, and Leta Mae Cox.

Private graveside services will be held at Dexter Cemetery under the direction of Miles Funeral Service.

The family suggests memorial donations be made in honor of Pauline to the charity of the donor's choice.
