Patsy R. Dennett, 74, of New Salem, Kansas, passed away Tuesday evening, October 7, 2014 at her home.
Born February 9, 1940 in Emporia, Kansas, she was the daughter of Lawrence and Vera Nell (Moore) Rich. She was raised and received her education in Emporia, graduating from Emporia High School in 1958.
Patsy married Glenn E. Barrett. To this union two children were born. The couple later divorced. She then married Leonard Zimmerman. To this union one child was born. The couple later divorced.
Patsy was united in marriage to Howard Dennett on November 30, 1979 in Miami, Oklahoma. The couple made their first home in Wilmot, and Patsy went to work for Heritage House. She then attended Wichita Votech, and remained at Heritage House. She began working as a Dietician after completing school.
She enjoyed camping, fishing, puzzles, crafts, collecting angels, and spending time with her dog.

Her son: Troy L. Zimmerman of Wichita;
Her 9 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Patsy was preceded in death by her daughter, Cheryl Wallace and her 4 brothers and 3 sisters.
A memorial service will be held at 10:00 A.M., Friday, October 17, 2014, at Miles Funeral Service in Winfield, Kansas. A private family inurnment will be held at a later date.
A memorial has been established in Patsy's name for Gentiva Hospice. Contributions may be made through the funeral home.
