Patricia Ann Smith, 85, of Winfield, passed away early Saturday morning, July 13, 2019 at Presbyterian Manor.

Born May 6, 1934 in Wilmot, Kansas, she was the daughter of Leo J. and Thelma F. (Floyd) Eastman. She was raised and educated in Winfield and Oklahoma and graduated from Winfield High School in 1952. As a young woman, Pat worked at Old's Drug Store in Winfield.

She was united in marriage to Jessie lee Smith on June 1, 1952 in Winfield. The couple made their first home in Wichita. They lived in California, Texas, Missouri, Colorado, and Oklahoma before making their home in Winfield in 1981. Pat worked part-time at the Winfield Daily Courier. She went to work for USD 465 in 1982 and worked in food service for 15 years, retiring in 1997. Jessie preceded her in death on June 14, 2007.

Patricia was a member of Central Baptist Church and enjoyed Sunday School. She also enjoyed gardening, sewing, photography, genealogy, quilting, and crocheting. She especially loved spending time with her family.

Her family includes her son David Smith and wife, Suzann of Winfield; her daughter Diann Smith and husband, Jim Miller of Winfield; her grandchildren, Robert Miller, Jason Miller, Christin Miller, Jennifer Kimber, and Jessica Smith; her great grandchildren, Aubrie Kimber, Nathen Kimber, and Jesse Miller; and her brothers, Ronald and Jack Eastman.

In addition to her parents and husband, Patricia was preceded in death by a sister, Peggy Gray and a brother, Donnie Eastman.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M., Wednesday, July 17, 2019 at Miles Funeral Service in Winfield. Interment will follow at Wilmot Cemetery. Visitation and viewing are scheduled at the funeral home on Tuesday evening, July 16, 2019 from 4 to 8. The family will greet visitors from 5 to 6 that evening.

A memorial has been established in Patricia's name for RiverCross Hospice. Contributions may be made through the funeral home.
