Obituary

Patricia "Pat" Lundy, 87, formerly of Burden, Kansas, passed away Monday morning, September 20, 2021, at her home in Winfield.

Born August 27, 1934, in Wilmot, Kansas, she was the daughter of Ralph "Bud" and Rena Pauline (Walker) Sitton. She was raised and received her education in New Salem and Burden, graduating from Burden High School.

Pat was united in marriage to James H. "Jim" Lundy on March 12, 1953. The couple made their home in Burden where Pat worked for the Ford dealership. She later worked at Strother Field and for the Cowley County Courthouse in Winfield. Following retirement, Pat and Jim enjoyed wintering in Yuma, Arizona. Jim preceded her in death on May 1, 2014. Following Jim's passing, Pat moved to Winfield.

Pat was a member of the Burden United Methodist Church. She became an active member of the Order of the Eastern Star Burden Chapter #128 on May 22, 1957. In 2014, she became a dual member, joining Order of the Eastern Star Queen City Chapter #138. She held the Betty Ross traveling pin, received her 50-year pin in 2007, and her 60-year pin in 2017. Pat held office every year for the 66 years she was a member. She enjoyed music, receiving various awards for her singing. She was a member of the band, Anything Country, as well as the Kansas Old Time Fiddlers, Pickers and Singers.

Her family includes her son Gary Lundy and wife, Susie of Pittsburg; her grandchildren, Kaleigh Walker and husband, Russell of Dallas, TX; Afton Lundy and husband, Chris Goodwin of Pittsburg; Fallyne Deao and husband, Kevin of Pittsburg; Cameron "Bubba" Lundy and wife, Jamie of Pittsburg; and her great grandchildren, Camden Deao, Callie Jo Lundy, Cohen James Lundy, Cain Goodwin, and Brooklyn Deao.

Pat was preceded in death by her parents and husband.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, September 24, 2021, at 10:00 A.M. at the Burden United Methodist Church. Interment will follow at the Burden Cemetery. A visitation is scheduled at Miles Funeral Service in Winfield on Thursday from 4 to 8 P.M. The family will greet friends from 6 to 8 that evening.

Memorials have been established in Pat's name for Burden United Methodist Church and for the Order of the Eastern Star Chapter 138 in Winfield. Contributions may be made through the funeral home.
