Pat Roger Rohrer, 75, of Wichita, passed away Tuesday afternoon, October 5, 2021, at his home.

Born December 22, 1945, in Winfield, Kansas, he was the son of Bill and Nancy Louise (Harrison) Rohrer. Pat was raised and received his education in Kansas. Following his schooling, Pat enlisted in the United States Army where he received training as a flight line mechanic on helicopters. He was honorably discharged in May 1969 as a Sergeant.

Pat lived in many places throughout his life including Kansas, Arizona, and California. He owned and operated a mechanic shop named Shade Tree Automotive. Pat enjoyed hunting and fishing in his younger years. Additionally, he liked feeding squirrels and watching wrestling of all kinds.

His family includes his son, Bart Peterson, and his wife, Tammy; his daughter, Tammy Kitchen; his grandson, David Smith; his brother, Mike Rohrer, and his wife, Linda; and his nephews, Brian Rohrer, Troy Rohrer.

In addition to his parents, Pat was preceded in death by his brother, Norman.

Graveside funeral services with military committal honors will be held Tuesday, October 12, 2021, at 2:00 P.M. at the Kansas Veterans Cemetery in Winfield under the direction of Miles Funeral Service.

A memorial has been established in Pat's name for the Kansas Humane Society. Contributions may be made through the funeral home.
