Pamela Wolfe, 65, of Winfield, Kansas, passed away Sunday morning, November 6, 2016 at William Newton Hospital in Winfield.
Born November 9, 1950 in Oil City, Pennsylvania, she was the daughter of N. Wayne and Virginia (Miller) Walkup. She was raised in Pasadena, Texas, spent one year in Japan and later moved to Atwood, Illinois where she graduated from Atwood Hammond High School in 1969. After high school, Pamela attended Millikin University in Decatur, Illinois where she graduated with a Bachelor's in Biology. She then went to Nursing School and became a Registered Nurse.
Pamela worked as a nurse at a youth camp in New York City, was a Staff Nurse in Charleston, West Virginia and later Indiana. She then became an Operating Room Specialist and worked at the University of Missouri Hospital in Columbia, Missouri. She also worked at the VA in Columbia.
Pamela was united in marriage to Raymond "Chuck" Wolfe on August 9, 1980 in Baxter Springs, Kansas. The couple travelled with Chuck's Navy career. She continued her career in the operating room in Waukegan and Lake Forest, Illinois before moving to Bellingham, Washington where she taught anatomy and physiology. In August 1990, the family moved to Burden, Kansas and Pamela began working as the Operating Room Supervisor at William Newton Hospital in 1993, where she remained until 1998.
She was a member of First United Methodist Church in Winfield and the Association of Operating Room Nurses. She enjoyed scrapbooking, needlepoint, reading and especially loved spending time with her children and grandchildren.

Her daughter: Rebecca Sayre and husband, Darrick of Arkansas City;
Her mother: Virginia Walkup of Arthur, IL;
Her brother: Tracy Walkup and wife, Karen of Norcross, GA;
Her grandchildren: Andrew and Alexander Wolfe of Udall; and
Many nieces, nephews and cousins.
In addition to her father, Pamela was preceded in death by a brother, Brian Walkup and her sister, Donna Eastin.
Services will be held on Tuesday, November 15, 2016 at 10:00 A.M. at Miles Funeral Service in Winfield. A private family burial will take place at a later date.
