Opal R. Hubbard-Lippincott, 80, of Winfield, Kansas, passed away Friday morning, May 16, 2008 at Good Samaritan Village in Winfield.
Born June 27, 1927 in Latham, Kansas, she was the daughter of James Temple "JT" and Opal (Cooper) Jacks. She was raised and received her education in Winfield, and worked for many years at Beech Aircraft in Wichita. Opal also worked for a short time at Glantz Plumbing in Winfield.
Opal enjoyed driving around the country with her brother visiting her son in Topeka, and her sister in Coffeyville. She also loved animals.

Her sons: Robert Hubbard of Topeka, KS; and Jim Hubbard of Phoenix, AZ;
Her brother: J.T. Jacks of Grand Junction, CO;
Her sister: Louise White of Coffeyville, KS;
Her sister-in-law: Venita Jacks of Winfield, KS;
Her grandchildren: Amanda, Michael, Steven, and Tonya-Jo;
Her six great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Jasper and Leonard Jacks.
Cremation services have been effected and no public service planned.
A memorial has been established in Opal's name to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation. Contributions may be made through Miles Funeral Service in Winfield.
