Norman Eugene Baker, 92, of Winfield, passed away Thursday morning, March 10, 2022, at William Newton Hospital.

Norman was born on July 6, 1929, in Winfield to Emery C. and Hazel (Matthews) Baker. He attended Winfield schools followed by Southwestern College and Emporia State University.  Norman served in the U.S. Army in the Korean War.  He was best known for being a teacher and counselor for USD 465 for over 30 years.

Norman's family includes his wife, Beverly Baker of Winfield; and his daughter, N. Jeanne Dexter and husband, Mike of Broken Arrow, OK.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Private family services will be held at a later date.  Arrangements are under the direction of Miles Funeral Service.
