NORMA B. DAVIS, 85, of Winfield, Kansas, passed away early Thursday morning, October 9, 2014 at Cumbernauld Village in Winfield.
Born November 27, 1928 in Wichita, Kansas, she was the daughter of James Everett and Gladys Carmen (Edwards) Kapp. She was raised and received her education in Wichita, graduating from North High, High School.
Norma was united in marriage to Kelvin Kent Davis on October 22, 1948 in Wichita. She and Kelvin moved their family to Belle Plaine,KS in 1958. Norma worked at the Belle Plaine Library for a number of years and later at the Belle Plaine Lumber Yard as a clerk. She was a member of the Baptist Church, the Community Singers in Belle Plaine and the Ladies Civil Defense Unit in the 60's and early 70's. She enjoyed singing and would sing at many funerals and weddings and other special occasions. After retirement, they moved to Arkansas City and lived there until moving to Cumbernauld Village, Winfield, KS in 2007. Her husband, Kelvin Davis, preceded her in death on July 29, 2007.

In addition to her parents and husband, Norma was preceded in death by her son, Kent Davis.
The family will hold memorial services at a later date. Miles Funeral Service is in charge of arrangements.
A Memorial has been established in Norma's name for the American Bible Society. Contributions may be made through the funeral home.
