NORMA J. ATKINS, 91, of Mulvane, Kansas, passed away Sunday morning, January 11, 2015 at Maria Court in Mulvane.
Born on February 19, 1923 in Blair, Oklahoma, she was the daughter of Ben F. and Nellie (McLeod) Payne. She was raised and received her education in Blair and graduated from Blair High School in 1941.
Norma was united in marriage to JD Atkins on June 24, 1941 in Blair, Oklahoma. She was employed at Beech Aircraft in the 1960's and then worked at the Rose Hill Bank in Rose Hill as a teller for 37 years. Mr. Atkins preceded her in death on June 28, 1985.
Her family includes:
Her son: James R. Atkins and wife Cindy of Udall, KS;
Her 1 granddaughter and 7 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, her 2 brothers and 4 sisters.
Graveside funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M.., Thursday, January 15, 2015 at the Blair Cemetery.
