Obituary

Nonia Faye Snyder, 82, of Winfield, Kansas, passed away Saturday evening, July 15, 2023, at Harry Hynes Hospice in Wichita.

Born June 1, 1941, in Laverne, Oklahoma, she was the daughter of Charlie and Anna (Odell) Pemberton.  She was raised and received her education in Laverne.  At a young age, Nonia received Christ as her Savior and was baptized at the First Baptist Church in Laverne.

Nonia has lived in various places including Laverne, Beaver, Woodward, Shattuck, Tulsa, Jenks, Ardmore, Oklahoma, Siloam Springs, Arkansas, Derby and Burden, Kansas. She married Leroy Snyder March 1st, 1974 in Tulsa, Ok. Leroy preceded her in death.

Nonia was a member of the First Baptist Church in Burden.  She had a passion for music and loved to sing and dance.

Her family includes her sons, Cecil (Darlene) Kielhorn of Topeka; Dale (Stacey) Kielhorn of Burden; Dennis Woolfolk of Clarksville, TN; her sister Mary Cornelson of Shattuck, OK; and several grandchildren and great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and husband, Nonia was preceded in death by an infant daughter Jaronda, and two brothers, Louis Lee and Ray Edward Pemberton.

The family will hold memorial services at the First Baptist Church in Laverne, Oklahoma, on Friday, July 21, 2023, at 1:00 P.M.  Private burial will take place at the Laverne Cemetery.

A memorial has been established in Nonia's name for the Cowley County Humane Society.  Contributions may be made through Miles Funeral Service.
