Nina "Pat" Jenkins, 71, of Winfield, Kansas, passed away Wednesday afternoon, August 19, 2009 at Kansas Heart Hospital in Wichita.

Born November 13, 1937 in Anthony, Kansas, she was the daughter of Frank and Nina Mae (Smith) McBride. She was raised and received her education in Anthony graduating from Anthony High School.

She was united in marriage on April 20, 1961 to Virgil Jenkins. The couple made their home in the Winfield area where Pat was a devoted homemaker.

Pat enjoyed animals, horse racing, flowers, the beach, and especially loved spending time with her kids and the rest of the family.

Her brother: John Brent "Jack" McBride and wife, Gail of Olathe, KS;
Her sister: Michelle L. "Mickey" Archer and husband, Merle of Winfield;
Her grandchildren: Tara Hying, Chris Parkerson, Colby Campbell, Krista Fuller, Karen Mitchell, Josh Parkerson, Shay Campbell, Tyler Buetow, Caleb Parkerson, Lora Parkerson, and Jessie Buetow, Justin Payne, Virgil Jenkins, and Randel Campbell;
Her great-grandchildren: Derek Hying, Colt McLaughlin, Dakota McLaughlin, Audrey Parkerson, Jacob Parkerson, Nicholas Mitchell, Kyle Mitchell, Dylan Mitchell, Cayden Mitchell, Kayla Williams; and
Her great great-granddaughter: Colbi Killman.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her daughter, Cindy Parkerson, her sisters, Frankie Brooks, and Carol Kenyon.

Graveside funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M., Saturday, August 22, 2009 at Wilmot Cemetery. Friends may call at Miles Funeral Service from 5:00 to 9:00 P.M., Friday, August 21, 2009.
