NELLIE F. REEVES, 84, of Winfield, Kansas, and formerly of Cambridge, Kansas, passed away Monday morning, March 30, 2015 at William Newton Hospital.
Born on July 17, 1930 in Round Mound, Elk County, Kansas, she was the daughter of Fay Earl and Margaret (Underwood) Wilson. She attended Wolf Creek school and later Grenola High School.
She was united in marriage to Leonard LeRoy Reeves on June 30, 1947 in Sedan, Kansas. The couple lived and worked on ranches throughout their married lives. Nellie was a homemaker and when the couple bought a café in 1988, she helped manage that. Leonard preceded her in death on July 17, 1996.
She enjoyed cooking for large groups and spending time with her family.

Her daughters: Barbara Knight of Winfield, KS; and Lorri Downey and husband Chris of Oklahoma City, OK;
Her brother: Harold Wilson and wife Virginia of Belle Vista, AR;
Her sister: Wanda Wartick and husband Wallace of Grenola, KS;
Her 8 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her brother, Bill Wilson; her grandsons, J.J. McCann and Justin McCann; and her son-in-law, Terry Knight.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M., Friday, April 3, 2015 at Miles Funeral Service in Winfield. Internment will follow at Greenlawn Cemetery in Grenola, Kansas. Friends may call at the funeral home from 5:00 to 8:00 P.M., Thursday, April 2, 2015 and the family will greet friends from 6:00 to 7:00 P.M., that evening.
A memorial has been established in Nellie's name for the American Heart Association. Contributions may be made through the funeral home.
