Obituary

NEAL CURTIS LEFTWICH, 63, of Burden, Kansas, passed away at his home on Sunday, April 20, 2008.

Born on January 19, 1945, in Winfield, he was the son of Arthur R. and Blanche (Shannon) Leftwich. He was raised in the Burden community graduating from Burden High School.

On March 21, 1964, he was united in marriage to Susan Shiflet in Burden. To this union, two children were born, Todd and Diana. The couple later divorced.

He worked as a driller in the oil fields. As a young adult, Neal liked to rodeo. He rode broncs and bareback among other things.

His family includes:
His son: Todd Leftwich and wife, Shauni of rural Winfield;
His daughter: Diana Ramsey and husband Sam Dervisevic of Elida, OH;
His brothers: Dennis K. Leftwich and Larry J. Leftwich and wife, Marilyn; and
His grandchildren: Samuel and Zane Leftwich and Chance and Colby Ramsey.
He was preceded in death by his parents.

Memorial services will be held on Wednesday, April 23, 2008, at 3:00 P.M. at Miles Funeral Service. Private family inurnment will take place at a later date. Online condolences may be made at www.milesfuneralservice.com.

A Memorial has been established in Neal's name for Hospice Care of Kansas. Contributions may be made through the funeral home.
