Nancy Jane Gilbert passed away on November 9, 2021, in Tucson, Arizona at the age of 88.

She was born in Douglass, Kansas to Lloyd Linnear Scott and Margaret Frew Shannon Leayman on March 2, 1933. She was an avid reader, bowler, and enjoyed a variety of card and board games. She retired in 2000 as a secretary for Ninteman Construction in San Diego, California.

She is survived by her husband, Roy, whom she married on July 3, 1953, in Winfield, Kansas, their four children: Scott (Mary Kay) of Falling Waters, West Virginia, Gregg (Mary) of Tucson, Arizona, Don of Henderson Nevada, and Laurie DeGeorge (Phil) of Highland Ranch, Colorado. She was preceded in death by her son, Kent, in 2003 and all six of her siblings. She is also survived by ten grandchildren and five great grandchildren.

Nancy's memorial service will be held at 2:00 P.M. on December 9, 2021, at the First Presbyterian Church, Winfield, KS, where she and Roy married over sixty-eight years ago. Burial will follow at Highland Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Miles Funeral Service.
