Nadine F. Edwards, 86, of Winfield, Kansas, passed away Wednesday, May 18, 2022, at her home.

Born December 24, 1935, in Granola, Oklahoma, she was the daughter of Simeon and Maude (Wiley) Phillips. She was raised in Foraker, Oklahoma, Dexter, and Udall areas.

On February 25, 1957, Nadine married the love of her life, Farrell D. Edwards, in Clinton, Arkansas. The couple made their first home in Udall and moved to Winfield in 1971. Nadine worked at area restaurants and worked ten years at Binney and Smith. She enjoyed doing beadery and plastic canvas. She adored her animals. Farrell preceded her in death on February 12, 2004.

Her family includes her son David Phillips of Tulsa, OK; three daughters, Dona Phillips of Winfield; Dorothy Alvarez of Ponca City, OK; Debbie Mattenson of Ponca City, OK; twelve grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, Nadine was preceded in death by four brothers, Neal, Arnie, Darrell, and Lester Phillips, three sisters, Helen Brake, Sharon Bowman, and Janet Hughes, a son Randall Edwards, a daughter Sharon Kay Edwards, two great grandchildren, a son-in-law Raul Alvarez, and a daughter-in-law Melissa Phillips.

Graveside funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M., Monday, May 23, 2022, at the Maple City Cemetery. A visitation is scheduled at Miles Funeral Service on Sunday afternoon from 2 to 5 P.M.

A memorial has been established in Nadine's name for the American Cancer Society. Contributions may be made through the funeral home.
