Myrna was born in Protection, Kansas on April 20, 1927, the youngest of five daughters, to Warren and May Iva (Beach) Teter. From age five, she was reared in Winfield where she attended high school, graduating in 1946. She worked for First National Bank before marrying Lawrence E. "Gene" Conrod on May 29, 1949. They were married 58 years until Gene's death in 2007.

The couple had three children, and in 1960, the family moved to El Dorado when Gene was transferred to manage the local Jarvis Auto Supply Store. Myrna initially worked for the store as a bookkeeper, then held other jobs for the First Baptist Church and Wichita Eagle.

In 1973, Myrna and Gene returned to Winfield, where Myrna worked as a bookkeeper for Southwestern College. After retirement, she delivered Meals on Wheels and volunteered at William Newton Memorial Hospital. The couple was very active in First Baptist Church, El Dorado, Hackney Community Baptist Church and New Hope Fellowship Church of Winfield. Myrna sang in the choir, played piano, taught Sunday School and participated in Bible studies and other services. She was a voracious reader, a very talented artist and seamstress, a skilled musician, and a loving wife and mother.

Myrna was preceded in death by her parents, husband and four sisters: Bernice Murray, Velma Smith, Glenda Jackson, and Maxine Hart. Survivors include her children, Barbara Graham and husband, Paul of Independence, MO; Larry Conrod of Winfield; and Nancy Conrod of Winfield.
