Obituary

MONTIE KAY DAVIS, 60, of Winfield, Kansas, passed away Monday morning, June 1, 2015 at Wesley Medical Center in Wichita.

Born February 11, 1955 in Winfield, Kansas, she was the daughter of William "Bill" and JoRita (Ritchie) Davis. She was raised and received her education in Winfield, graduating from Winfield High School in 1973. She attended Cowley County Community College in Arkansas City and St. John's College in Winfield. Montie began working for Binney & Smith Crayola Factory in Winfield in high school and continued until they closed in 1997.

She was a member of the First Christian Church in Winfield. She enjoyed traveling, and cherished the trip she took with her daughter, Misha, to Washington D.C. She also loved going to New Orleans and was an avid reader.

Her family includes:
Her son: Corey Davis and wife, Steffi of Munich, Germany;
Her parents: Bill and JoRita Davis of Wichita, KS;
Her sisters: Kathy Hanshew and husband, Dave of Pratt; Kris Huntoon and husband, Pat of Wichita;
Her nieces and nephews: Tracy Bailey, Trent Hanshew, Mandy Browning and Mallory Ankrom;
Her great nieces and nephews; and
Her precious pet and constant companion: Wobbles.

She was preceded in death by her daughter, Misha Davis in 2002.

Graveside memorial services will be held on Saturday, June 13, 2015 at 10:30 A.M. at Highland Cemetery. Miles Funeral Service is in charge of arrangements.

A memorial has been established in Montie's name for Victory In The Valley. Contributions may be made through the funeral home.
