Mina M. Eggleston, 83, of Winfield, Kansas, went to be with her Lord on Tuesday evening, April 16, 2024, at Winfield Senior Living.

Born April 7, 1941, in Spokane, Washington, she was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Swearingen.  She was raised and received her education in Washington, and later attended Cowley County Community College.

On June 6, 1985, Mina was united in marriage to Henry A. Eggleston, Jr. in Winfield.  The couple made their home in Winfield where Mina worked at Binney & Smith Crayola Factory and also was a Certified Medical Assistant at the Winfield State Hospital and Training Center.  She later worked as a Para for the Winfield School District.  Henry preceded her in death on March 19, 2021.

Mina was a member of Rock United Methodist Church.  She enjoyed gardening, both flower and vegetable.  She also enjoyed crafting and painting.

Her family includes her daughter, Cyndi Harris and husband, Henry of Udall; her sons, Kevin Pietro and wife, Sheri of Ottawa; Robert Pietro of Belle Plaine; her sister Alice of Washington; and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Mina was preceded in death by her parents and husband.

In lieu of services, Mina asks that everyone find their own time and place to sing "Victory In Jesus", loud and clear as a memorial to her.

A memorial has been established in Mina's name for the Cowley County Humane Society.  Contributions may be made through Miles Funeral Service.
