Michael Rethmeier's Obituary
Michael Rethmeier, born October 13, 1955, went to be with his Lord Wednesday morning June 3rd.
He worked for the City of Winfield as well as pastoring Geuda Springs Community Church. Along with raising his 7 children and 4 grandchildren, he taught a Bible study at the Winfield Correctional Facility for the past 15 years and pastored several churches in his community. Mike loved his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
He is survived by his wife Carma and his children Ian & Nicole, Sean, Brett, Nicole & Jon Roggow, Ryan, Katie, & Jared and his grandsons Ivan & Tyson Rethmeier and Conan & Leonidas Roggow. He is also survived by his parents, Don and Joyce Rethmeier, and siblings, Tim, Jill and Ron.
A memorial service will be at the Winfield Central Baptist Church Saturday June 6th, 2015 at 10:00 AM. Private burial will take place at Zoar Cemetery in Newton, Iowa.
In lieu of flowers please send contributions to Calvary Baptist Church, Derby, KS for two of Mike's favorite charities, Answers in Genesis and the Alliance Defending Freedom.
