MICHAEL SCOTT "MIKE" TOLBERT, 71, of Wichita, Kansas, died Thursday evening, August 2, 2012 at his home.
Mike was born April 7, 1941 in Wichita. He was the son of Tom and Justine Ione (Shaffer) Cline. He was raised in Wichita and Atlanta and attended Atlanta schools graduating from Atlanta High School in 1959.
During high school, Mike worked hauling hay and other various farm jobs. He later and for American Farm Lines as an over the road truck driver. He joined the United States Army on March 23, 1966. He served during the Vietnam War, earning a National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal with a Bronze Service Star, a Vietnam Campaign Medal and the Combat Infantryman Badge. He was honorably discharged on March 22, 1968.
Mike worked for Beech Aircraft, Boeing and later, Spirit where he retired from in March of 2010. He was united in marriage to Barbara L. Stilwell on December 20, 1986 in Wichita. The couple made their home in Wichita.
He loved Las Vegas, going to the casinos, playing poker and was an avid golfer.

His daughters: Tina of El Dorado; Tammy Tanquary of Wichita; and Ronda Welch of Augusta;
His brother: Jack Tolbert and wife, Mary of Augusta; and
Numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, Mike was preceded in death by his sons, Jeff and Barry Tolbert, his daughter, Lisa Tolbert and his sister, Judy Reed.
Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, August 7, 2012 at 10:00 A.M. at Miles Funeral Service in Winfield. Interment and Military Committal Honors will follow at the Atlanta Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Monday evening from 5 to 8. The family will greet visitors during this time.
Memorials have been established in Mike's name for the American Diabetes Association and for the Cystic Fibrosis Association. Contributions may be made through the funeral home.
