MICHAEL "SCOTT" BRAUNGARDT, 66, of Rock, Kansas, passed away Saturday morning, October 25, 2014 at Via Christi St. Francis Hospital in Wichita.

Born October 21, 1948 in Winfield, Kansas, he was the son of J.C. and Frances A. (Starkey) Braungardt. He was raised and educated in Rock and Udall, Kansas. He graduated from Udall High School and attended and graduated Cowley County Vo-Ag School. Following college, Scott worked at the Anthony Co-op as the Assistant Manager. He returned to Rock where he farmed and worked for Boeing.

Scott was a member of the Douglass Masonic Lodge and the Butler County Shrine. He enjoyed hunting and fishing, and watching baseball and game shows. He especially enjoyed rodeos.

His family includes:
His twin children: Justin Braungardt and Julie Edwards both of Mulvane, KS;
His brothers: Kirk Braungardt of Bartlesville, OK; and J.L. Braungardt of Rock, KS; and
His grandchildren: Thayden "Tate" Edwards and Hannah Edwards.

Scott was preceded in death by his parents, J.C. and Frances Braungardt.

Funeral Services will be held at the Douglass Christian Church on Thursday, October 30, 2014 at 2:00 P.M. Interment will follow at the Douglass Cemetery. Friends may call at Miles Funeral Service on Wednesday evening from 4 to 8 P.M. The family will greet friends during this time.

A Memorial has been established in Scott's name for the Shriner's Hospital. Contributions may be made through the funeral home.
