Melvin Leon Price, 76, of Deer Creek, Oklahoma, passed away Monday, November 28, 2022, at the Kansas Veterans Home.

Born March 17, 1946, he was the son of William and Ardelia Price. He was raised and received his education in California, graduating from high school in 1964. On January 11, 1966, Melvin entered the United States Navy. He proudly served his country aboard the USS Radford and received an honorable discharge on December 10, 1968.

Melvin worked in shipping and receiving for Sears for many years. He was united in marriage to Linda Schnack on September 22, 1992, in Las Vegas, Nevada. The couple made their home in Oklahoma. Melvin moved to the Kansas Veterans Home in Winfield in January 2021.

His family includes his wife Linda Price of Deer Creek, OK; and his daughter Carrie Parks of Mathis, TX.

Melvin was preceded in death by his parents.

Interment and military committal honors will take place at the Kansas Veterans Cemetery on Thursday, December 1, 2022, at 2:00 P.M. under the direction of Miles Funeral Service.
