Mavis June Price, 81, of Winfield, passed away Thursday morning, March 10, 2022, at her son's home.

Born June 17, 1940, in Walker Community (Marion County), Alabama, she was the daughter of Marvin Van and Jessie May (Shirey) Norris.  Mavis was raised and received her education in Alabama, graduating from Brilliant High School.

Following school, Mavis was united in marriage to James Kenneth Price in Alabama.  To this union, four children were born.  Mavis worked diligently as a homemaker and caretaker for her youngest son.  She also was a licensed beautician and worked in retail. Kenneth preceded Mavis in death on January 15, 1975.  She enjoyed quilting and canning.

Mavis' family includes her children, Miranda Woodard; Greg Price; and Jason Price; her grandchildren, Nicholas Price; Kolton Price; Ashley Pogue; Mark Colwell; Jamie Colwell; Rocky Woodard; and Kayla Woodard; her great-granddaughters, Tinley Price; Isla Woodard; Willow Woodard; and her siblings, Felton; Gustave; and Aubrey.

In addition to her parents, Mavis was preceded in death by her son, Mark; her brother, Donald; her sister, Geneva.
