Mary Anne Towne, 51, of Arkansas City, Kansas, passed away Wednesday morning, March 21, 2012, in Winfield, Kansas.
Born August 8, 1960, in Wellington, Kansas, she was the daughter of Frank and Mary (McKnight) Skidmore. She was raised and received her education in Blackwell, Oklahoma, attending Blackwell High School.
Mary Anne was united in marriage to Darrell Towne. The couple made their home in Arkansas City, Kansas. She enjoyed making decorative crafts and spending time with her grandchildren.

Her sons: Joey Lewallen of Wellington; Josh Schlect of Newkirk, OK;
Her mother: Mary Skidmore of Blackwell, OK;
Her brothers: Paul Skidmore and wife, Cathy of Blackwell, OK; George Skidmore and wife, Vicky of Omaha, NE;
Her sister: Becky Shaver and husband, Jeff of Ponca City, OK;
Her grandchildren: Jixi; Jax; Joyanne; Jered; and
Numerous nieces and nephews.
Mary Anne was preceded in death by her father, Frank Skidmore.
Memorial services will be held on Tuesday, March 27, 2012 at 2:00 P.M. at Miles Funeral Service in Winfield, Kansas. A private family inurnment will be held at a later date.
