MARY F. SPHAR, 76, of Atlanta, Kansas, passed away Sunday morning, March 4, 2012 at her home.

Mary was born on November 21, 1935 in Windhom, Kansas. She was raised in Windom and later Wichita, Kansas where she graduated from North High School in 1953. Mary later received a nursing certificate and practice private nursing in Wichita.

She was united in marriage on June 15, 1975 to James Sphar in Haysville, Kansas. The couple moved to Kansas City, Kansas where they resided until 1996 when they moved to Atlanta.

Mary was a member of the Cornerstone Christian Church in Atlanta. She enjoyed painting and reading.

Her family includes:
Her husband: James of the home;
Her sons: Timothy Leslie of Wichita, KS; and John Kumle of Ft. Worth, TX;
Her daughter: Elizabeth Eckenfel of El Paso, TX; and
Her 3 grandchildren.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her son, Chris Leslie, her 2 brothers and a sister.

Cremation has taken place.

Memorial services will be held on Sunday, March 11, 2012 at 2:00 P.M. at the Cornerstone Christian Church in Atlanta.
A memorial has been established in Mary's name for the Cornerstone Christian Church in Atlanta. Contributions may be made through the funeral home.
