MARY F. (FOUST) MANTHEY, 80, of Douglass, Kansas, formerly of Atlanta, Kansas, passed away, Friday afternoon, August 15, 2014 at her home surrounded by her family.
Born on December 3, 1933 in Arkansas City, Kansas, she was the daughter of John and Lena (Jean) Foust. She was raised and received her education in Arkansas City and graduated from Arkansas City High School.
She was united in marriage to Kenneth G. Manthey on March 19, 1955 in Newkirk, Oklahoma. Mary spent over thirty years working for the Winfield State Hospital where she was in charge of Central Supply. Mr. Manthey preceded her in death on November 8, 2013.

Her sister: Betty Smyth and husband Virgil, Tulsa, OK;
Her grandchildren: Jeffrey Rice and wife, Christina of Overland Park, KS; Jonathon Stout and wife Angela, Bel Aire, KS; Kimberly Rice, Derby, KS; Brandon Rice and wife Cheryl, Wichita, KS; and Kaylee Stout, Winfield, KS; and
Her great-grandchildren: Danielle, Kaitlyn, Alexander, and Kade.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Sheila K. (Manthey) Wetzel.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M., Wednesday, August 20, 2014 at the Cornerstone Christian Church in Atlanta. Interment will follow at the Atlanta Cemetery. Friends may call at Miles Funeral Service in Winfield from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M., Tuesday, August 19, 2014. The family will greet friends during that time.
A memorial has been established in Mary's name for Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice. Contributions may be made through the funeral home.
