MARY I. DUNN, 73, of Udall, Kansas, passed away Thursday, July 2, 2015 at Wesley Medical Center in Wichita.

Born on October 12, 1941, in Wichita, she was the daughter of Louie P. and Margaret I. (Spore) Stefan. She was raised and received her education Udall and graduated from Udall High School in 1959.

Mary was united in marriage to Roy Dean Dunn on May 24, 1959 in Udall. The couple lived in Kingsville, Texas for a short time and later returned to Udall where they made their home. Roy served in the military from 1957 to 1960. Roy's aviation career took him overseas to Finland and Mary would often accompany him. She was a fulltime homemaker and enjoyed gardening, canning, weaving and sewing. Mary was a lover of the outdoors also, and enjoyed living history reenactments, camping and fishing. She was an avid animal lover of every sort of animal.

She was a member of the Udall United Methodist Church.

Her son: Jim Dunn of Udall, KS;
Her daughter: Catherine Bowman and husband Rick of Haven, KS;
Her granddaughter: Katie Rose Degraffenried and husband Andy of Hutchinson, KS; and
Her great-granddaughters: Averie Rose and Lily Grace Degraffenried.
She was preceded in death by her parents.

Memorial services will be held at 2:00 P.M., Friday, July 10, 2015 at Miles Funeral Service. Private inurnment will take place at a later date at the Ninnescah Cemetery, south of Udall.

Memorials have been established in Mary's name for the Cowley County Humane Society and the Wounded Warrior Project. Contributions may be made through the funeral home.
