Mary Jane Crabtree, 78, of Winfield, Kansas, passed away Wednesday evening, February 2, 2022, at Medicalodge of Oxford.

Born August 29, 1943, in Winfield, she was the daughter of Vernie and Mary Irene (Starlin) Crabtree.  She was raised and received her education in Winfield, graduating from Winfield High School in 1961.

Mary Jane worked as a caregiver most of her life at Good Samaritan and Mosaic. She also worked at Calmar for a short time.  She enjoyed cats, birds, flowers, garage sales, and crocheting.

She is survived by her sister-in-law Beverly Crabtree of Winfield; nephew Gary Crabtree and wife, Judy of Winfield; niece Paula Straughn and husband, Ed of Winfield; her great nephews, Chris Vanderbur; Derek Wallace; Josh Wallace; Justin Mills Crabtree; her great nieces, Mandy Finney and husband, Matt; Brandy Crabtree; Kaysha Topper and husband, Kevin; many great-great nephews, nieces, and cousins; and her aunt Chalea Starlin of Oxford.

In addition to her parents, Mary Jane was preceded in death by her brother Donald "Don" Crabtree.

Graveside services will be held at 2:00 P.M., Thursday, February 10, 2022, at Highland Cemetery under the direction of Miles Funeral Service.

A memorial has been established in Mary Jane's name for Relay for Life of Winfield.  Contributions may be made through the funeral home.
