Martin Ernest "Marty" Reynolds, 66, of Winfield, Kansas, passed away Monday morning, January 30, 2017 at Via Christi St. Francis Hospital in Wichita, Kansas.
Born September 29, 1950 in Winfield, Kansas, he was the son of George and Doris (DeVore) Reynolds. He was raised and received his education in Winfield, graduating from Winfield High School in 1969. While in school, Marty began working as a roughneck for his parents at Reynolds Drilling.
He was drafted in the United States Army in 1970 and served his country in South America. After his honorable discharge, he returned to Winfield and began working at Two Rivers Coop. Marty married Janey Christoph in 1974 at the First Baptist Church in Arkansas City. To this union, a daughter was born. The couple later divorced. In 1985, he married Michell "Shelley" Crittenden in Winfield. To this union, a daughter was born. The couple later divorced.
Marty worked as a truck driver most of his life, driving for several area trucking companies, including Rusk Brothers, Two Rivers Coop and Tango Trucking. He was united in marriage to Jana Waldschmidt on October 18, 2014 in Lincoln, Nebraska. The couple made their home in Winfield.
He was a member of Hackney Baptist Church and the American Legion Post #10. He enjoyed animals, especially his horses and dogs.

His sisters: Debbe Reynolds of Wichita; Merrie-Pat McIntire and husband, Dennis of Liberty, MO;
His mother-in-law and father-in-law: Carol and Don Waldschmidt;
His grandchildren: Charlie Lay, Letty and Noah Loffer, Paydon, Baylee and Tyler Snow, Ethan and Tyler Thielen, Mason Strange; and
Numerous nieces and nephews.
Marty was preceded in death by his father, George Reynolds.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, February 6, 2017 at 10:00 A.M. at Miles Funeral Service. Interment and Military Committal Honors will follow at the Kansas Veterans Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Sunday afternoon from 2 to 6 P.M. The family will greet visitors during this time.
Memorials have been established in Marty's name for the Wounded Warrior Project and for the American Legion Post #10. Contributions may be made through the funeral home.
