MARTHA S. WEDD, 76, of Winfield, Kansas, passed away Thursday evening, July 9, 2015 at William Newton Hospital.
Born on May 4, 1939 in Fairfax, Oklahoma, she was the daughter of Richard and Margaret (Bonham) Teeman. She was raised and received her education in Ralston, Oklahoma, where she graduated from Ralston High School in 1957.
Martha was united in marriage to Phillips Wedd on January 14, 1956 in Stillwater, Oklahoma. The couple made their first home in Ralston. In 1965 the couple moved to Winfield and she was employed at Cessna Aircraft and later General Electric where she was an engine mechanic. She retired in 2002.
She was a member of Holy Name Catholic Church, the Walnut Valley Quilt Guild and the Cherokee Strippers camping club. Martha enjoyed her grandchildren, traveling, quilting, playing cards and a good prank.

Her daughter: LeeAnn Cowan and husband James of Stillwater, OK;
Her grandchildren: Michelle Owens, Monty Welch and wife Nina, Sidnee Cowan, Michelle Biladeau and Michael Wedd; and
Her great-grandchildren: Trey Wedd, David Owens, Megan Owens, and Phillips David Welch.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 A.M., Tuesday, July 14, 2015 at the Holy Name Catholic Church in Winfield. Interment will follow at St. Mary's Cemetery. A Rosary will be recited at 7:00 P.M., Monday, July 13, 2015 at Holy Name Catholic Church. Friends may call at Miles Funeral Service from 2:00 to 5:00 P.M., Monday, July 13, 2015.
A memorial has been established in Martha's name for the Holy Name Catholic School. Contributions may be made through the funeral home.
